Big-Time Pamaskong Handog ng Unioil

December 24, 2008

As a fitting gift to the public this Christmas, Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated (UPPI) today announced a further reduction in the prices of diesel and gasoline products sold in its retail outlets and service stations, in the local oil industry since January this year.

"This is just our company's simple gift to the Filipino people this Christmas as our "Big-time Pamaskong Handog" to the public and motorists, especially those who are going to the provinces this week and a fulfillment of Unioil's commitment to sell to the public high-quality petroleum products at affordable prices," UPPI General Manager Chito Medina-Cue Jr. said.

Thousands of motorists are expected to flock to the provinces this week for the Christmas celebration.

Likewise, Medina-Cue said the move reflected the continuing downward trend in the pricing mechanism in the international market.

He said the new pricing mechanism would be implemented starting at 2 pm, today December 24, 2008.

Medina-Cue said that with the latest price adjustment, Unioil's diesel products now stands at P30.97 per liter for Pure Diesel Plus B1 and P31.49 for Unleaded gasoline.

Quantum Premium Gasoline would be sold at P31.99 and P31.21 per liter respectively for and Regular Unleaded.

The move, the latest "big-time" cutback, imposed by Unioil beat other competitors to the draw by as much as P1 to P2 per liter for diesel and gasoline.

Unioil last rolled back pump prices by P6 per liter last November 26. Prior to that, it has also implemented a twice "big-time" rollback of P3 per liter for diesel and P2 for gasoline in September.

"Unioil will continue this commitment to the public to have a fair and competitive pricing," Medina-Cue added.
