UPPI shall blend all YAMALUBE Oils

Belying its strength as one of the Philippines leading independent oil player Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated (UPPI) recently signed a two-year contract with Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated (YMPI) for the supply of after market Yamalube Oil brand.
UPPI General Manager Chito Medina-Cue Jr. said the agreement is a testament to the strength of Unioil's products and the reputation the company have generated for its reliability as a supplier of inexpensive yet high-quality oil products.
"There is no doubt that this contract is a testament to our company's growing strength to provide all kinds of oil products," Medina-Cue said during the signing ceremony attended by top Yamaha officials at the latter's office at the Laguna Technopark, Binan, Laguna.
Also in attendance at the said event was YMPH's President, Mr. Yoshiaki Takeda and witnessed by Mr. Yukio Fukada, Parts and Logistics Section Head of YMPH, and Mr. Elnathan Gujol, Parts-Marketing Assistant Supervisor of YMPH, and Danica Anna Tiu of UPPI.
Under the agreement, UPPI shall blend all YAMALUBE Oils for YMPH's after market sales product category. The specifications of Yamalube Oils were given and approved by Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd in Japan. Such oils are Yamalube BUSINESS designed for heavy loading motorcycles, Yamalube PERFORMANCE for single and high-speed motorcycles, Yamalube AT and Yamalube GEAR OIL designed for automatic motorcycle.
Recently, Unioil also signed two contracts with Silver Tire Traders, Inc (STTI), a known lube distributor in General Santos City which is ranked no. 1 in 2007.
Medina-Cue said the contract signing would pave the way for Unioil's entry in the region and added that he hope it would be the beginning of a long-term relationship between the two companies.
'The contract signing was full of enthusiasm and excitement that signals the start of a fruitful relationship between the two companies,' Medina-Cue said.
Unioil carries a wide range of lubricants from automotive to industrial that caters to retailers/resellers, industrial and commercial clients. Blended in an ISO 9001:2000 certified blending facility, the company's products are house brand and guaranteed of international quality and standard.
The company is also the exclusive distributor of Idemitsu brand of lubricants, from automotive to industrial and other auxiliary products. Idemitsu is currently Japan's No. 1 lubricant and the 9th in the world.
But it was not the first time that Unioil has made its presence felt in the resource-rich region of Mindanao. As early as 2003, the company's retail network reached the region with its first station located at Ecoland, Davao City.
Aside from General Santos City, Unioil is also looking at similar partnership in Cotabato, Lanao and Butuan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Cagayan, Nueva Viscaya, Zambales Palawan, West Batangas, Iloilo City, Samar, Leyte and Misamis Occidental.
