Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. reduced the prices of its Diesel by P2.28 while P2 on Kerosene
February 10, 2009
Consistent with its stand of providing the public with inexpensive yet high-quality petroleum products, Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated (UPPI) announced another rollback in the prices of diesel and kerosene sold in its retail stations.
UPPI General Manager Chito Medina-Cue Jr. said the company has decided to implement a rollback of P2.28 per liter for Diesel and P2.00 for Kerosene products effective at 2pm today, Tuesday.
"We decided to implement the latest price cutback in Diesel and Kerosene products sold by our retail stations due to the recent price reduction in crude at the international market," Medina-Cue said.
"This is also consistent with what we have been doing since last year to give competitive prices to our consumers," he added.
Unioil has adjusted diesel and kerosene prices a total of 17 since July last year. The last rollback was last January 26 when it cut prices by P2 per liter.
Medina-Cue said that with the latest rollback, Pure Diesel Plus B1 prices for (non-PUV lanes) will stand at P26.69 per liter from last month's P28.97 and P35.68 for Kerosene from the previous P37. 68.
Pure Diesel Plus B1 for PUV lanes will stands at P24.94 per liter.
“We are now lower by PO.54 to P2.24 per liter in our diesel and kerosene products compared with other players”, Medina-Cue reiterated.
Unioil has been leading oil players in instituting price adjustment for its products including several "big-time rollbacks" last year.
Medina-Cue said that despite the current financial crunch, Unioil would continue to fulfill its mandate of public service through competitive pricing commensurate to market development.
In a related development, the company is now in the middle of a P90 million-expansion plan that would see the construction of six more service stations in Manila, Cainta, Pasig, Makati and Pasay cities for the initial expansion program this year.
This is on top of the two undergoing construction in Caloocan and Quezon City.
