Unioil Regalado Station’s reopening under its new management

Despite the current financial crunch one of the country's leading independent oil player expressed optimism it will not affect the company's expansion plan this year as it disclosed plan to set up additional service and retail stations in Metro Manila.

Unioil Petroleum Philippines recently upgraded the facilities of its refueling station located at Regalado Avenue in Fairview Quezon City prior to the re-opening of the said site this coming March under its new management.

Recently, Unioil Petroleum Philippines awarded the dealership contract to Mr. John Rock Ang as part of the company’s franchising program.

UPPI General Manager Chito Medina-Cue Jr. said the move is intended to improve customer service of Unioil's Regalado station and to exclusively supply the dealers with Unioil lubricant products.

The construction of additional service stations and upgrading of existing facilities is also part of Unioil's business opportunity program.

Medina-Cue said the expansion program is a testament to Unioil's growing financial and technical capability.

"Despite the current crisis, there are business opportunities and while everybody is slowing down, Unioil will pursue its expansion plan and will build more stations this year," Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated (UPPI) General Manager Chito Medina-Cue said.

Medina-Cue said they are currently looking for more sites in Metro Manila to put up service stations where motorists can buy inexpensive yet high-quality petroleum products.

"On top of the two stations currently under construction, Unioil is targeting six more sites in Manila, Cainta, Pasig, Makati and Pasay cities for the initial expansion program this year," Medina-Cue said.

The two stations undergoing constructions are located in Caloocan and Quezon City.
