UNIOIL RELAUNCHES SINGALONG STATION

December 8, 2009

To further boost its presence in the domestic oil market, Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated (UPPI) has re-launched another service and retail station in Metro Manila today, Tuesday located at Quirino Avenue corner Singalong street, Malate, Manila. The franchised service station will be under the management of businessman Diosdado Angeles and will offer the full range of Unioil products including the company's innovative and environment-friendly Pure Diesel Plus, Quantum Pure Power, Unleaded Gasoline, Unioil lubricants and Auto LPG.

Pure Diesel Plus was formulated to perform like a premium diesel resulting to improved fuel efficiency and more power achieved through better combustion while Quantum Pure Power has a 93 plus improved octane rating.

At the same time, the station will sell these high-quality products at competitive prices.

Unioil General Manager Chito Medina-Cue Jr. said this reflected the company's belief in the viability of the local oil industry and the overall business climate.

“We at Unioil believe that despite the stiffening of competition in the domestic market, opportunities for expansion through new stations and products still exist and in fact are growing, and we hope to seize on the opportunity,” Medina-Cue said.

“In the next few months, we will see more Unioil service and retail stations not only in Metro Manila but in neighboring provinces as well,” he added.

The company, one of the leading independent oil players in the country, he further said will be investing in new stations and improving existing ones to better serve the public.

Manila City Mayor Alfredo Lim who attended the event praised Unioil for its investment in the city saying that it affirmed the positive business climate fostered by his administration.

Aside from Lim, Manila City 5th District Councilor Reynaldo Yupangco also attended the event.

Currently, Unioil has more than 40 stations and outlets in mainland Luzon alone. It also operates in the Mindanao regions.

This year, it rolled out a P90-million expansion plan that sees the construction of additional stations in the metropolis, namely in Quezon City, Paranaque and Caloocan.

Aside from petroleum, Unioil also supplies asphalt used for road construction and maintenance and other infrastructure projects.

It also carries a wide range of lubricants from automotive to industrial blended in the company's ISO certified blending facility in Valenzuela city.
