Unioil To Implement A Price Freeze

Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. is announcing to the public that the company will implement a price freeze on all of its fuel products (gasoline, diesel, LPG) starting today, Friday until next week. UPPI General Manager Chito Medina-Cue Jr. said the decision of the company not to increase the prices of its fuel products is meant to sympathize with the public, particularly in areas, devastated by the heavy rains due to the southwest monsoon that prevailed not only in Metro Manila but in other parts of the country for the past several days. “The price freeze starting today is one of our company’s measures to sympathize with the people who are victims of this unfavorable weather condition,” Medina-Cue said adding that this was done despite the significant upward trends in prices of fuels in the international market. He added that the price freeze will cover all Unioil retail stations nationwide.

Governor Garcia called last week for a special meeting with the provincial board members of Bataan to discuss among themselves the potential of the coastal areas of Mariveles town site of the FAB which is now being proposed as the possible site for a Container Port in FAB.
